DSW Dining Chairs by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller (Set of Six)

A set of six DSW dining chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950 and produced by Herman Miller or Vitra. One of the most influential chair designs of the 20th century, the DSW combines an organically shaped molded shell with the iconic wooden dowel base, creating a design that remains as relevant today as when it was first introduced.

Each chair features a yellow molded shell paired with a black-stained wood base and steel supports. The combination of materials gives the design a distinctive balance of warmth and functionality, while the curved shell provides comfortable everyday seating.

The DSW was part of the Eameses' pioneering exploration of molded seating, designed to adapt to the contours of the body while remaining suitable for large-scale production. Its simple form and versatile proportions have made it a lasting favorite in both residential and commercial interiors.

Each chair measures approximately 31.9 inches in height, 18.1 inches in width, and 21.7 inches in depth, with a seat height of approximately 17.3 inches.

Condition is good vintage. The shells show wear and marks consistent with age and use, including light surface wear and minor variations in color. The bases remain structurally sound and present well overall.
