Originally created for the German Pavilion at the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona, the Barcelona Chair has become one of the most iconic furniture designs of the twentieth century. Its elegant combination of architectural precision and luxurious materials perfectly reflects Mies van der Rohe's famous philosophy that "less is more."

Each chair features a polished chromed steel frame with the graceful X-shaped profile that has defined the design for nearly a century. The frames support generously padded cushions upholstered in button-tufted leather, creating a striking contrast between the clean lines of the steel structure and the softness of the upholstery.
