A remarkable Model 29A sideboard, designed by Arne Vodder for Sibast Møbler in Denmark during the late 1950s and produced in the 1960s. Often referred to as the "Triennale" sideboard, this celebrated design is considered one of Vodder's finest cabinetmaking achievements, combining elegant proportions, exceptional craftsmanship, and distinctive use of color. Its fully finished back also allows it to function beautifully as a room divider, making it as versatile as it is visually striking.

Crafted in richly figured Brazilian rosewood, the cabinet is distinguished by its contrasting white and yellow lacquered doors, a signature feature that gives the piece a refined yet playful character. Behind the doors are generous storage compartments, while seven smoothly operating drawers provide practical organization. One compartment incorporates a fold-down bar section, adding both functionality and sophistication. The slender metal and rosewood legs create a light, floating appearance, while the fully veneered back ensures the cabinet is equally attractive from every angle. The original Sibast label remains in place, confirming authentic Danish production, and the original keys are included.

The sideboard measures approximately 98.4 inches wide, 18.5 inches deep, and 31.5 inches high.

The sideboard is in very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and careful use. Minor surface scratches and small marks are present, the white lacquered door shows light signs of wear, and one drawer has a small chip to the handle. The rosewood top and front exhibit gentle fading that has developed naturally over time, adding to the character of this exceptional piece while preserving its overall elegance.

What we like most about the Model 29A is the effortless balance between sculptural simplicity and functional design. From its vibrant contrasting doors to its beautifully figured rosewood construction, it perfectly captures the sophistication that made Arne Vodder one of the defining figures of Danish Modern furniture.

As with all vintage pieces, signs of use are part of the story. Colors can look slightly different depending on the light. If you'd like more photos or details, just let me know.
