Antonio Citterio Groundpiece Modular Sofa for Flexform, Six-Piece Set

A Groundpiece six-piece modular sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio in 2001 for Flexform in Italy. Since its introduction, the Groundpiece has become one of Flexform's most celebrated designs, redefining the traditional sofa with generous proportions, deep seating, and a relaxed approach to contemporary living.

This versatile configuration comprises three square seating modules, one corner section, and two matching ottomans, allowing for a variety of layouts to suit different interiors. Fully upholstered in gray velvet, the sofa combines clean architectural lines with the inviting softness that has become synonymous with the Groundpiece collection. The metal frame is padded with high-density polyurethane foam, while the generously filled goose-down seat cushions provide exceptional comfort and a luxurious lounging experience.

Each sofa module measures approximately 39.4 × 39.4 inches. The corner section measures approximately 39.4 × 49.2 inches, while each ottoman measures approximately 27.6 × 39.4 inches. The modular design allows the pieces to be arranged as a spacious sectional or used individually to create a flexible seating environment.

The set is in good vintage condition with minor wear and light stains consistent with age and normal use. The upholstery presents well overall, the cushions remain supportive, and the modules retain their clean, sculptural appearance.
