Rodolfo Dordoni Modular Sofa with Ottoman for Minotti, Italy
A refined modular sofa with matching ottoman, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti in Italy. Known for his understated approach to contemporary furniture, Dordoni created designs that balance architectural precision with exceptional comfort, making Minotti one of the world's leading names in luxury Italian interiors.
This composition consists of two generously proportioned seating modules and a matching square ottoman. Upholstered in a warm cream fabric, the sofa features deep seat cushions, oversized feather-filled back cushions, and wide track arms that create an inviting and relaxed seating experience. The slim dark metal base gives the sofa a light, floating appearance while emphasizing its clean, minimalist lines. The modular construction also allows the sections to be separated and reconfigured to suit different interior layouts.
The sofa measures approximately 124.4 inches wide (two modules measuring 62.2 inches each), 41.3 inches deep, and 22 inches high, with a seat height of approximately 13.8 inches. The matching ottoman measures approximately 19.7 x 19.7 inches and stands 12.6 inches high.
The sofa is in very good vintage condition. The upholstery shows light wear and a few minor stains consistent with age and careful use. The cushions remain supportive, the structure is excellent, and the overall presentation is clean and well maintained.
What we like most about this sofa is its effortless balance of comfort and sophistication. The generous proportions, modular flexibility, and restrained Italian aesthetic make it equally suited to contemporary homes and refined interior design projects.
As with all vintage pieces, signs of use are part of the story. Colors can look slightly different depending on the light. If you'd like more photos or details, just let me know.
