Pair of Danish Modern Sheepskin Lounge Chairs, 1930s–1940s

A beautiful pair of Danish Modern lounge chairs, crafted by an unknown Danish cabinetmaker during the 1930s or 1940s. These early Scandinavian designs capture the transition from strict functionalism to the softer, organic forms that would later define Danish Modern furniture. With their sculptural silhouettes and generous proportions, the chairs embody the warmth and craftsmanship that continue to make this period so highly sought after.

Each chair features broad, welcoming armrests, a gently curved high backrest, and softly rounded lines that create an inviting and exceptionally comfortable seating experience. Newly upholstered in premium sheepskin, the chairs offer a luxurious texture while highlighting their sculptural form. The organically shaped wooden legs have been carefully refinished, preserving the authentic character of the original construction while complementing the warmth of the natural upholstery.

Each chair measures approximately 32.3 inches wide, 36.2 inches high, with a seat height of approximately 15.7 inches.

The chairs are in beautifully restored vintage condition. They have been professionally reupholstered in new premium sheepskin, while the original wooden legs have been refinished and retain light signs of age and use that reflect their history. Structurally, both chairs are solid, comfortable, and ready for everyday use.
