Maralunga Two-Seat Sofa by Vico Magistretti for Cassina

The Maralunga is one of Vico Magistretti’s most celebrated designs for Cassina and remains an icon of Italian furniture design. Introduced in 1973, the sofa is known for combining exceptional comfort with an innovative adjustable backrest system that has made it a design classic for decades.

At first glance, the Maralunga has a soft and relaxed appearance, but its defining feature is the adjustable backrests and armrests. These can be raised to provide additional head and neck support or lowered for a more casual lounging position.
