Josef Frank 947 Dining Table Svenskt Tenn Extendable

This is one of those pieces that adapts easily to different situations. Closed, it works as a comfortable everyday dining table, but with the addition of the extension leaves it transforms into a much larger table capable of seating a significant number of guests. It’s a practical design, but it still has the warm and relaxed character Josef Frank is known for.

The tabletop is crafted in mahogany with softly rounded corners, which give the piece a softer appearance than many large dining tables. The proportions feel balanced whether used in its compact form or fully extended.

Closed, the table measures approximately 59.1 inches in length. Fully extended with all four leaves, it reaches approximately 153.5 inches. Width is about 43.3 inches and height approximately 28.7 inches. Each extension leaf measures roughly 23.6 inches, and additional support legs provide stability when the table is fully extended.

Condition is very good overall. There are some marks from age and use, nothing unusual for a vintage piece of this period. The table feels solid and well maintained.

What we like most about it is the flexibility. It remains relatively compact for everyday use while offering the ability to expand into a substantial dining table when needed.
