Finn Juhl Model 109 Dining Armchairs by House of Finn Juhl, Set of Six

A set of six Model 109 armchairs designed by Finn Juhl and produced by House of Finn Juhl / Onecollection in Denmark.

Originally designed in 1946, the Model 109 is one of Finn Juhl's most refined dining chair designs. The chair combines elegant proportions with the sculptural detailing that made Juhl one of the leading figures of Danish Modern furniture. While understated at first glance, the design reveals a remarkable level of craftsmanship in the shaping of the frame and armrests.

Each chair features a solid walnut frame paired with black leather upholstery. The gently curved armrests are among the chair's most distinctive features, carefully shaped to fit naturally in the hand and provide exceptional comfort. The warm walnut grain contrasts beautifully with the black leather, creating a timeless combination suited to both modern and traditional interiors.

The chairs offer the comfort of an armchair while maintaining the light visual presence expected of a dining chair. Their balanced proportions make them equally suitable around a dining table, conference table, or as occasional seating.

Seat height is approximately 17.7 inches, overall height approximately 30.3 inches, width approximately 25.2 inches, and depth approximately 18.1 inches.

Condition is good vintage. The chairs show minor wear and marks consistent with age and use. The walnut frames display light signs of handling, and the leather upholstery presents well overall.

What we like about the Model 109 is the attention to detail. The sculpted armrests, elegant proportions, and combination of walnut and leather make it one of Finn Juhl's most sophisticated dining chair designs.
